Picky Prospecting

The great thing about network marketing is that you decide who you want to work with. You can offer the opportunity to the kind of people you want to associate with.

One secret of my success is that I constantly recruit up. This means I look for people who I think would be better at this than me. I figure if I’d rather be rejected by a millionaire than a guy without a job. I’d also prefer a yes from someone with a large circle of influence than a person who hasn’t yet learned how to network.

Here’s what I look for when seeking guests to look at the opportunity.

Servant Leadership — “Good leaders lead; great leaders serve.” We’re looking for value-centered individuals who are willing to take on the responsibility to serve others to build an empowered community.

Authentic Leadership — you speak your truth and genuinely care about others. You understand that leadership is about who you are, not who you say you are..

An Owner Mentality — if you are intrigued by what we have, you need to be the kind of person who handles challenges and solves problems like the owner of a company.

A Motivator — we’re looking for people who know how to motivate and inspire people to action, take responsibility for a team and work well with other leaders.

Long-term Thinking — we’re not looking for someone who needs a quick hit of cash, but someone who wants a lifetime of residual income.

Willingness to Learn and Teach — if you have industry knowledge, marketing skills and tools that can help launch a company and you’re willing to participate as part of a team we are interested in you. We know it’s rare to find servant leaders without egos but we want only the best.

Business Experience — it’s not critical to your success, but at this stage the more proven success you’ve had in business the more likely you are to understand the importance of discipline, hard work and the results you can expect from that.

Personal Development Centered — you read, watch, listen and refer personal and professional development training. We’re looking for leaders who are high-integrity, continuous learners.

Female Leadership — eighty-percent of this industry is female and we’re looking for female leaders who can help attract other women leaders. You don’t have to be Oprah or Hillary, just a woman who wants to make a difference and get paid well for it.

US-Based — this opportunity will be based in the US only for at least the first year. Other countries will be launched when they make the most financial sense.

Notice what is not on the list. I don’t care if you “Have Time” or “Have a lot of Money” or are a “Network Marketer”.

Does this kind of thinking get results?
